The role of lysosomal membrane stability, malondialdehyde levels and DNA damage as pollution biomarkers in evaluating biological cleaning products using <i>Mytilus galloprovincialis</i>

چکیده
Abstract The possible effects of wastewater treatment products on mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) were studied. Three common pollution biomarkers used: neutral red retention assay, malondialdehyde contents and DNA damage through comet assay. Two groups treated in the laboratory for 25 days with 20 40 %v/v collected after chlorination, control formed a third group. results showed statistically significantly lower times, higher formation single-stranded fragments exposed at both concentrations compared to controls.
